Candy-colored lantana

This is the tool used to pick fruits from saguaros.
The wildflower walk still had some creosote flowers in bloom. How'd they swing that? They also had some buds on the plant, which I'd recently learned are also used as false capers.
Ironwood (Olneya tesota) - leaves, thorned branches, plant. The seeds are edible, the wood is used for construction and fuel.
