I have been to Elliott's Oyster New Year 3 times (on a media pass) and had a great time every time.
There are, of course, loads of oysters. The main attraction is the center circle of different oyster farms and their shuckers.
It being the main attraction, the oyster circle is where the (large!) crowd forms. You can take a couple different strategies: shuck and slurp OR gather up your various oysters and step away.
One of my favorite parts of the evening is the lineup of Washington wineries. (Samples all included with your ticket!)
Every year I focus on rieslings, because I love reislings, but also because one needs some limiting factor in the face of this bounty.
If you need a break from oysters, there are other seafood dishes and sides to try.
There are also desserts, like this like Bob Fosse of a treat.
