 I think this is Orange Fiddlestick and I ID'd it using some knowledge I got from the 6-wk ID course thru the UW Botanic Gardens. I really loved this class and recommend it highly.

 Lycium fremontii, wolfberry. All initial sources i found say they're edible. Related to both tomatoes & bittersweet nightshade.

Winter 2014: Reach 11 is a trail in the northern part of Phoenix/Scottsdale. Like many trails, it's a little...exposed. These are pictures from several morning walks during my winter 2014 visit to AZ.
